Founded immediately after World War II (1946) in a small workshop on the outskirts of Varese, we are now among the world leaders in the field of equipment for cutting and installing ceramic tiles.
From our first rudimentary “machines” for cutting materials such as marble and granite, we have moved on to more complex (yet always exclusive) equipment for processing all types of stone. Over the years, we have received numerous international awards for the ingenuity of our designs, as well as for the precision, sturdiness, quality, and durability of our products. Among others, we have received the coveted European “Mercurio d’oro” Award and the global “Ercole d’oro” Award, and in 2023, we were included in the prestigious Special Register of “Historic Brands of National Interest.”
What sets us apart is that most Montolit products are covered, in whole or in part, by national and international patents, designed to protect and safeguard the interests of our customers, who can therefore rely on distinctive and unique products.
